Open Source at CeBIT 1-3 May, 2007
Do you run a Zope business?
Do you have a need to network further and at the same time gain additional contracts? Do you want to be part of initiative to showcase the Australian Open Source industry to the business market and decision makers.
There will be an Open Source Exhibition section at CeBIT in Sydney 1st - 3rd May this year. 70,000 people attended CeBIT last year.
If 3, 5 or 8 Zope businesses are interested in exhibiting in a pavillion adjacent to each other you can have a much greater presence (larger signage) plus have the possibility of sharing or backing each other up if needed. The cost is $3,330 for a place in a 8 sectioned furnished pavillion.
The goals for Open CeBIT are:
* to create the best Open Source business conference and expo in the region
* to grow valuable business opportunities for our industry
* to demonstrate the breadth and professionalism of our industry to
attendees by having a fantastic display of companies and talks in the
Open CeBIT floorspace
* to get excellent coverage of Open CeBIT and the industry in the media and
showcase outstanding Australian Open Source companies and case studies
The commitment to Open CeBIT by Hannover Fairs is driven by their partners,
the Australian and German Governments, and attendees who are overwhelmingly
asking to see and hear about Open Source solutions and the application of
Open Source to their business goals. In addition to the new "Open CeBIT"
branding, they have committed to:
* a 1 day business conference - with Mitchell Baker (Mozilla Foundation),
Mary Ann Fisher (IBM), Simon Phipps (Sun), Mark Spencer (Digium) and
Jacob Taylor (SugarCRM). Find out more:

* further improvements to the attendee profile, delivering the business
focused audience you need
* a well branded, large and diverse Open Source industry expo on the main
thoroughfare of CeBIT - the major players are already on board!
* a dedicated floor theatre as part of the Open Source expo showcasing
exhibitors and special talks for the entire 3 days of CeBIT
* the opportunity for exhibitors to present in the Open CeBIT floor theatre
Open CeBIT will also include a special event for exhibitors to network and
grow partnerships, and a business matchmaking service, so attendees can book
meetings with you and exhibitors can accept meetings at their discretion
well in advance to the event.
We look forward to speaking to you about how you can participate in Open
CeBIT and grow the opportunities for your business. We will help ensure you
get the most from this opportunity to take your business to a larger market.
Date: May 1st-3rd 2007, with the Open CeBIT conference on the 3rd.
