It looks like the Melbourne Sprint organised for 4th - 8th of February
will not go ahead.

  o We have Jim Fulton the Chief Technical Officer of Zope Corporation
willing to attend this event.  He set aside these dates for us months
ago.  Jim was very impressed with the level of coding at the first
Melbourne Zope 3 Development sprint in July and is keen to come here again.

  o We have a terrific venue at Melbourne University provided by Trinity
College. There is even low cost accommodation at Trinity at $47 a night
including breakfast for those coming to the sprint outside Melbourne.

  o At the first Australian sprint developers from 14 organisations
attended including two from New Zealand.  Eleven of those organisations
are here in Victoria.  Victoria is the centre of excellence for Zope in
Australasia.  We also have some developers who missed out last time and
are determined to come this time including more from New Zealand.  They
are keen because they know that not only is this a fun event and a
fabulously fast way to increase their skills it's a great way contribute
to Zope 3 development.

  o Jim Fulton is willing to spend a day consulting with the
organisation who pays his air fare.  Jim spent a day consulting with
Vivitec and Opaltree the sponsors of our first sprint.

  o I have contacted everyone I thought might be able to contribute to
this event and have come up with only a few hundred dollars.  I am
traveling overseas shortly and can't spend any more time looking for
funding.

  o What is missing is a mere $2350 to pay for Jim Fulton's air fare.
This is chicken feed compared to the value people get out of the event.
Looking on the bright side at least we managed to have one sprint.
